Lindsay you cad

From Holy Bullies and Headless Monsters
For the past few weeks, I have heard ads on black Gospel radio stations from Senators Lindsey Graham and Representative Joe Wilson encouraging black voters to "split the ticket."

I believe one of the phrases were "no matter who you vote for as president . . ."

Keep in mind this was going on at the same time that Graham had been campaigning for McCain.
That's right, Lindsay Graham, John McCain's BFF with benefits, is going around his state telling the blacks that it's A-OK to vote for that black guy, but please for the love of God don't throw all the Republicans out of office. This is in South Carolina mind you. Now Lindsay is JMac's biggest booster outside of Lieberman and he ranks somewhere along the insufferable brownnoser section of the Cambridge Standard Toady Scale. But in his own traditionally Republican state, he's telling 30% of the population before it turns out in the highest levels since blacks got the right to vote that its OK not to vote for McCain, just don't start fucking up the downticket.

Doesn't that seem a little odd? I mean wouldn't you be trying to make some case to them for McCain, or at least try to depress the black vote? In some states, in early voting alone, 50% of all registered black voters have voted. Does Lindsay see some writing on the wall and is doing damage control? Or does he see SC as so safe that he can do this in an attempt to salvage some bleeding without damaging McCain's chances? Something to put in the back of your mind for tonight.
