Waiting on Buddha in my pudding

If this isn't common ground, I've no idea what is:
Diners have been flocking to a restaurant in northern Nigeria to see pieces of meat which the owner says are inscribed with the name of Allah.

What looks like the Arabic word for God and the name of the prophet Muhammad were discovered in pieces of beef by a diner in Birnin Kebbi.
Perhaps East and West are not destined to be locked in diametric ideological opposition for all time. Perhaps we're not all that different after all. Perhaps we can reconcile our qualms and step bravely forward, together, into humanity's future.

Or perhaps we just need to get rid of all the fucking religious people. Jesus in toast, Muhammad in beef, me in the corner slamming my head against the wall...
