John McCain tap dances for oil nickels

Recently John McCain reversed a long held position. Shit, I really need to narrow that down. He reversed a position on offshore drilling for oil. Apparently he believes that oil that won't hit the market for a decade will somehow have an effect on prices now. Perhaps all the derricks and oil platforms combine to create a time vortex that sends barrels hurtling back in time. I don't know, I'm not an oil scientist.

Maybe he just had a...*snort*...honest change...*giggle*...of opin...fuck I can't even finish it. He changed to whore big money out of oil companies. And thanks to Campaign Money Watch, we know it worked.....big time. $116,000 in March, $283,000 in April and $208,000 in May. Then in June when he makes the reversal: $1,214,100. Amount that came after Junes 16th, the day he made the speech: $881,450, or 73 percent. That's just from Texas alone.

This from the guy whose big plan is a gas tax holiday that will increase oil profits even more. Though McCain promised to shame them into passing saving on to us. John, shame is not an emotion you are in any way familiar with.
