Iraqi Crate and Barrel

U.S. segregates violent Iraqi prisoners in crates
The U.S. military is segregating violent Iraqi prisoners in wooden crates that in some cases are not much bigger than the prisoners.

The military released photos of what it calls "segregation boxes" used in Iraq.

Three grainy black-and-white photos show the rudimentary structures of wood and mesh. Some of the boxes are as small as 3 feet by 3 feet by 6 feet tall, according to military officials. There was no image released of a box that size.

The average Iraqi male is 5 feet 6 inches tall, according to the Iraqi Ministry of Health. That leaves little room for a prisoner to move once placed inside.
Now you may think this is just another black mark on the conditions with which we treat detainees and prisoners of war. You'd be wrong. See these boxes are dual use. After we lock Abdul in the box for 12 hours, we're free to fill the box with our standards of decency, the ideals this country was founded upon, those human rights laws we aren't using, and our dignity for easy shipping and storage. Easy to recover for when we decide we'd like it all back.

Of course they all get stored in the Raiders warehouse with the ark and magnetic alien skulls, so it might be hard to immediately find the exact law or feeling of righteousness we want back. Plus the dignity gets stored in the back and those rows are fuckin' endless. But we'll put some top men on it. Who? TOP............MEN.
