Lithuania. Who knew?

I can't say I saw this one coming, but it pleases me so. Apparently, Lithuania has arguably the most insane, crass, disrespectful fans of any Olympic contender. Their disregard for good sportsmanship, much less basic decorum, is so instinctive that they carry into an event several rehearsed chants, each hinging on the higher profanities, to be deployed whenever they disagree with a referee.
BEIJING - The Lithuanian fans at the Olympic Basketball Gymnasium get away with screaming stuff that would get them immediately ejected from Section 39 in right field at Yankee Stadium. Either the Chinese authorities don’t recognize American-style cursing, or they have a surprisingly liberal attitude about these things.

When they don’t like a call, the Lithuanian Bleacher Creatures don’t mess around. They simply chant, “Bleep you, ref.” There are slight variations on that theme, some of them even more profane, but basically that’s the thrust of it.
Good on ya, Lithuania. Your population may rank 130th in the world, but you're #1 in These Bastards' hearts.
