Condoleeza Rice breaks irony, refuses to fix it

Rice warns Moscow about its bomber runs off Alaska
BRUSSELS, Belgium — Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice Monday ruled out accelerating Georgia's admission to NATO in response to the Russian invasion. But she warned Moscow that it is playing "a very dangerous game" by resuming Cold War-era strategic bomber patrols close to the Alaskan coast.

"Russia is a state that is unfortunately using the one tool that it has always used whenever it wishes to deliver a message and that's its military power," Rice told reporters en route to an emergency meeting of NATO foreign ministers set for Tuesday. "That's not the way to deal in the 21st century."
Thanks Condi, I'm sure that really made Putin snort his Smirnoff into his Crispix. But besides your plan to make Russians get vodka up their nose laughing, there doesn't seem to be any coherent plan besides finger wagging and making mind numbingly hypocritical statements.

It's not so much that I mind the no plan part. What exactly are you going to do anyway? Send in troops you don't have? Convince world leaders who loathe you to listen to you? Stop warmongering Iran and start war mongering Russia? Get one of your junior deputies to explain what diplomacy is to you? No, you just aren't built for this type of thing Bush Administration. But for my sake, can you stop releasing statements that are overt descriptions of the policies you have tirelessly advocated for and implemented over the past seven years, except with "Russia" written in instead of "United States of Freedom" and the word "not" and "don't" thrown in front? It's embarrassing. Russia is just teeing off with the snark to the extent that they should start a blog and making its own declarations that are almost word for word Bushism's. It hurts my America bone. Stop.
