Buchanan ain't leaving, Obama

If you don't live in Pittsburgh, you probably don't know who Mary Beth Buchanan is. Hell you probably don't if you live here. Just a refresher, she's been the US attorney here since 2001. She was appointed by Bush and is described as "quintessential loyal Bushie" and essentially a corrupt stooge. Furthermore she's the one who brought up charges on Tommy Chong, originated most of the stupid Bush JD lawsuits against porn companies, went after the Amish, and launched a million politically motivated investigations on lefty politicians in Western PA. As a bonus she's the one who foisted Monica Goodling on the world and had a peripheral role in the attorney firing scandal. One other thing, when Barack Obama is sworn in next month, she's refusing to leave.
When a new president is elected, U.S. attorneys of both parties generally submit their resignations to make way for the new appointees. But Buchanan has other plans:

Despite a new administration coming into power, U.S. Attorney Mary Beth Buchanan said she plans to stick around.

“It doesn’t serve justice for all the U.S. attorneys to submit their resignations all at one time,” she said yesterday. […]
Ah yes, what's been common practice for every US attorney at the start of every new administration is not good enough for her. The country couldn't stand to be without Goodling's patron being off her post for a second. Christ, she's still gotta work on throwing Cheech's ass in jail. She's willing to work for Obama! *shudder*

That sounds great, someone who wasted everyone's time during her tenure, sued comedians, porn stars, and sued to make the Amish violate their beliefs, wants to stick around. What horrible shit must she have in the pipeline that she needs to stick around to keep going forward? Does the Pittsburgh office have that good a cafeteria? Want to screw Cyril Wecht even harder this term? Or you just want Barack to fire you, so you can do a quick tour around the Hannity/Limbaugh grapefruit league screeching about the Obama attorney firing scandal? Just leave, maybe Goodling can get you a job, she won't even need to ask the "are you loyal to Bush" questions.
