Anti-Tax Protestors Know Shit About Taxes

From the I Am Jack's Complete Lack of Surprise file comes this Forbes piece on the latest Tea Party protest in DC. David Frum rallied some interns and had them poll the crowd with some very basic tax-related questions. I've excerpted a couple below, but you probably already know where this is going.
What is the total Federal tax revenue as percentage of GDP?
Tea Baggers: 42% (average); 40% (median)
Actual: 14.8%

How much does a typical family with an income of $50,000 pay in taxes?
Tea Baggers: $12,710 (average); $10,000 (median)
Actual: $8,694 (single); $6,669 (married)
And to hammer this home, when the Baggers were asked whether taxes were higher, lower, or the same as when Barack Obama was inaugurated, more than two-thirds thought that taxes were higher. The reality? Taxes are "considerably lower by every measure since Obama became president."

In defense of Tea Baggers, it's hard to read with balls in your eyes, though that tends to happen when the head is placed in proximity to, or inside of, one's own ass.
