Saturday News Hole - 10.18.08

That's right, we're resurrecting Saturday News Hole, the feature that allows you to access all your relevant "nobody reads the newspaper on Saturday" information in one convenient, easily digested location. Consider your content aggregated.

Obama may still lack traction with rural white women, but according to Ben Smith at Politico, there's one demographic with which he seems to be making big gains: racists.

Lame though the dry-drunk duck might be, his administration is still quietly fighting the noble battle to endow taxpayer-funded religious groups with the right to discriminate based on faith.

I sincerely hope our California readers are gearing up to pummel Proposition 8 at the ballot box. A more heinous chunk of bigotry disguised as legislation I have not seen in some time.

Rep. Michelle Bachmann (R-MN) is a class of wide-eyed crazy I have honestly missed. Read her remarks and then chime in on the censure movement HERE.

Unknown hackers are absolutely 0wning Al Qaeda's websites.

TheseBastards brethren, Cry Fire, held their record release party in Pittsburgh last night. Read some rather amusing press HERE and get the record (for whatever price you like) HERE.

With all due respect to the economy, a couple of wars, and our standing in the eyes of the world, I give you a rather moving reminder of something else, something monumentally important, that is very much at stake in this election.

Go outside now. It's a lovely day.
