Powell to endorse

I know you've all been sitting around and wondering: who will Colin Powell endorse? We'll he's thought long and hard about it and...maybe he'll tell you after the debate.
When Colin Powell turns off his TV after the final presidential debate, he will have learned everything he is going to learn about the candidates vying to succeed his former boss, George W. Bush. Powell has made it clear that he has been thinking about an endorsement for a long time but wanted to hear more from the candidates before making his choice. It now seems beyond doubt that Colin Powell will endorse Barack Obama and thereby hammer the final nail in the coffin of the Republican campaign to hold onto the White House.
First off, are we really to believe that Powell is actually swayed by the debate answers? Secondly, does Barack Obama really want Colin Powell out there waving around a vial of his support for Barack Obama. At one point Powell's name meant something. At one point Powell was looked at as the potential first black President. Then.....that whole Bush Administration thing happened replete with the Iraq war, poor diplomacy, UN presentations and the destruction of Powell's air of integrity.

Oh sure he's said to regret the things that were done and says he should have fought harder against Cheney, but like most of the people who come weeping out of the Bush Administration, walking with a limp, holding their painfully violated rectums, he didn't do a damn thing when it mattered. Though, way to go out on a limb there Colin. What, didn't you want to endorse until there was a poll showing Obama with a 14 point lead? Oh well, maybe people will just forget that whole Iraq war presentation thing. If they're blocking out the last 8 years from their memories, this will seem like a big deal.
