Time columnist Joe Klein, who’s been a forceful critic of the McCain campaign (and already said he’s unwilling to accept a post-election apology), has found himself without a seat on the McCain or Palin the past four months.I'm not the biggest Joe Klein or Maureen Dowd (who also can't get a seat) fan in the world, but really? A TIME magazine columnist and a NYT columnist who are critical of McCain magically are unable to get seats on half filled planes? Now I know Klein has called you a mud-slinging tornado, angry, divisive, unfit for dog catcher, a contemptible cretin that kidnaps children and teaches them to grift and steal on the streets of 19th century London, a spineless liar, and all sorts of other judgmental things, but grow up. Dowd has intimated Obama is a naive gaybo just about every week and I bet she could get within shouting distance of Obama. He even let O'Reilly shout nonsense at him for an hour.
In June, Klein was kept from boarding the McCain plane over what they said had been a security issue. More recently, when trying to fly on the Palin plane last week, Klein told Politico over e-mail that the campaign's response was he “couldn’t be accommodated at this time.”
...
Campaign spokesperson Michael Goldfarb responded that "we don't allow Daily Kos diarists on board either."
I know time are tough. You thought the cookout you held for your 'base' would shield you from all criticism. But then you went so negative that even the media had to sit up and notice, pointing out the hundred foot gorilla slinging shit from the Empire State Building. What's Klein going to figure out on those plane rides that you need to keep him away from? You don't do pool interviews anymore, Palin cowers and hides at the sight of a notebook being opened, and your press relations amounts to bitter staffers Twittering insults to national publications. Running against the media might get you some street cred with Hannity and Co., but no one else gives a shit. Grow up.
