They can never take away our freedom

Fellow Americans, the Olympics are less than a week away. For us a time where we get to prove we can swim better than countries without pools or infrastructure, do more flips and twirls than someone who might have escaped a civil war, and can dunk on tiny white eastern Europeans named Mirko.

Though if the last few months is any indication, we can probably not pay attention to the track events. Sure we'll win, especially with our Kenyan stealing strategy, but they'll just take the medals away four to eight years later because of jealousy (doping).

Olympic Committee Strips 2000 US Relay Team Of Gold Medals
The International Olympic Committee stripped gold medals Saturday from the U.S. men's 1,600-meter relay team that competed at the 2000 Olympics in the aftermath of Antonio Pettigrew's admission that he was doping at the time.

The IOC executive board disqualified the entire team, the fourth gold and sixth overall medal stripped from that U.S. track contingent in the past eight months for doping.

Three gold and two bronze were previously removed after Marion Jones confessed to using performance-enhancing drugs.
