Awkward silences

From the transcript of of yesterday's "Oh, you better believe your ass is fired, McChrystal"/"look at how manly and Presidential our manly Presidential President is" speech, as pointed out by Rachael Maddow:

"Mr. President, can this war be won?"

(No audible reply)

But man, did he fire his ass in the most Presidential way possible. Is the mission going to be worth it, can we win it, was it smart to remove him at this point for a media gaffe? No audible reply. But the media did get a hell of a moment.

Plus, this country and our elected betters were given even more of an opportunity to jizz ourselves over David Petraeus... which I didn't think was possible. So at least we have that.
