The lawsuit by the former Republican congressman from Georgia claims that neither McCain nor Obama met the requirement of Texas law that all candidates provide “written certification” of their nomination “before 5 p.m. on the 70th day before election day,” because neither had been formally nominated by their respective parties in time.Oh Bobbykins your naivete is like sweet, sweet candy. Of course the rules are different for the major parties, that's how they got to be major parties. Makin' the rules, not dickslapping with Wayne Allen Root. Unless of course Texas sticks to its reputation as a law and order state, which it sure as shit does if you're a poor black or latino guy. Actually, they'll probably fry Obama and McCain for this. Making them sit on each others laps as they sizzle and pop.
...
Ashley Burton, a spokesperson for the Texas Secretary of State’s office, responded at that time, saying, “Both parties made filings with our office before the deadline, supplemented their filings and will be on the November ballot.” Barr plans to hold a news conference at the Texas Supreme Court on Thursday.
In any event, Texas you'll rue the day you wanted to vote for anyone other than Bob Barr. He'll make all the other candidates go away and you'll only have Bob Barr to vote for and to console you in these trying times. Bob Barr will be the Texas Overlord come this November, best to keep your head down and obey his brutal commands.
