Keep the dream alive

For all of you out there hoping desperately for the day George Bush will get arrested and tried for something....anything, well maybe you can walk with a little jauntier strut, cause some guy thinks he's found a way.
George W. Bush could one day be the International Criminal Court's next target.

David Crane, an international law professor at Syracuse University, said the principle of law used to issue an arrest warrant for Omar al-Bashir could extend to former US President Bush over claims officials from his Administration may have engaged in torture by using coercive interrogation techniques on terror suspects.
...
Richard Dicker, director of the International Justice Programme at Human Rights Watch, said the al-Bashir ruling was likely to fuel discussion about investigations of possible crimes by Bush Administration officials.
Problem one: Bush pulled the US out of the ICC war crimes treaty and as of today the US does not yet recognize the legitimacy of the court. Problem tow: since the ICC track won't work, the UN Security Council would have to order it.....which would involve getting by a US veto at the very least. Remedies: Obama is looking towards rejoining the ICC court and maybe, if they don't rejoin, would allow the UN to grab Bushie.

Really it's all a pipe dream though. Bush will never see the inside of a court or a jail cell unless he takes a tour of the Hague or the Dallas jail. Stories like this exist to give you the tiniest bit of hope that our political elite are subject to legal scrutiny for anything other than hooker sex and egregiously flagrant and obvious corruption. News flash: they aren't. Remember it. You will be prosecuted for war crimes committed during the Bush Administration before Bush is.
