Picture of the day: Real time misery

Fresh from the New York Times comes Picturing the Recession a project that seeks to have citizens upload ongoing pictures of how the recession is playing out in their community. While right now it's just pictures of protests, public service closings, empty storefronts, ironic juxtapositions, and other various signs of despair, I eagerly await the further updates of tumbleweed strewn business districts, hobo tent villages, and armies of spear wielding feral children that will no doubt be populating the Times page in the future.
