Last month, Louisiana state Rep. John LaBruzzo (R) announced a plan “to pay poor women $1,000 to have their Fallopian tubes tied,” along with “tax incentives for college-educated, higher-income people to have more children.” He predicted that people would “get excited” about his idea. After intense public backlash, however, he was removed yesterday from his position as vice chairman of the House Health and Welfare Committee. House Speaker Jim Tucker (R) said Labruzzo’s comments “impeded his abilities to help lead critical health-care reform.”Gee, who could have foreseen this going poorly for television doctor John LaBruzzo, elected moron? I can't believe that people didn't get excited about your plan to sterilize the poor and hoist you up on Louisiana's footstool of exultant pride, making you Governor or perhaps something even higher....Uterus Commandant of Louisiana. He seems to be the kind of guy who read Swift's A Modest Proposal and thought "Yeah, why didn't I think of that. The poor can sell their babies to the rich for food. I can't wait to eat a tasty Irish infant."
Who would have thought that in the 21st century, eugenics still wouldn't have taken hold among the elite? I'm telling you, this guy got railroaded off the Health and Welfare committee. Someday we're going to regret not sterilizing the poor and providing tax breaks for the rich to have kids. You know, when we need more cheap labor for the salt mines.
