Educated tea baggers

It's easy to make fun of the tea bagging movement. They call themselves tea baggers, seem to be willing tools of large corporations who most assuredly aren't their friends, are rife with the fringiest conspiracy theorists and low rent racists, and their gatherings are fertile ground for gawking at cheap political theater and a grammatical killing field of poorly spelled placards with even more poorly thought out ideas on them.

Plus it's easy to knock them for not even understanding what the hell it is they're so outraged about. Why? Because they don't know what they're talking about. Especially on their signature issue of being freaked out that a black man is President taxes. From a recent CBS poll:
Here's the poll question: "In general, do you think the Obama Administration has increased taxes for most Americans, decreased taxes for most Americans or have they kept taxes the same for most Americans?"
...
Of people who support the grassroots, "Tea Party" movement, only 2 percent think taxes have been decreased, 46 percent say taxes are the same, and a whopping 44 percent say they believe taxes have gone up.
For those of you playing at home, that means somewhere around 90% of the tea bag movement is completely uninformed about their key issue. Because unless the tea bag movement is entirely comprised of the top 5% of earners in this country, then just about every single tea bagger got a tax cut from the Marxist Kenyan abortionist currently occupying his ACORN stolen throne. And that's just income taxes, as Comrade Obama also passed a bunch of small business tax cuts, homeowner and home-buyers tax cuts, tax cuts for people with kids, and tax cuts for people with forged Hawaiian birth certificates.

On the other hand, our President is a blackety black black black and we're Taxed Enough Already! AMIRITE?

Let's all give a warm round of applause for privileged white ignorance and inchoate rage.
