Good news eneryone

So what's the first thing you want to hear about a new BP strategy to collect all that oil that's everywhere there used to be water? Is it this?
BP's latest plan to capture the oil gushing from the runaway Deepwater Horizon well poses significant safety risks for "several hundred people" working aboard the ships that will process the corralled crude, the oil giant has told the Coast Guard.
Hmmm. Continue.
With so many vessels working in a relatively small area, Suttles wrote that there's a risk of a "major surface accident." Video of the site Sunday showed more than a dozen vessels on the scene; a jet of burning natural gas perhaps 200 feet long shot from one.
Ahh. Massive oil, oil fumes, ships, people, and fire collected in a small area. And, given BP's normal level of safety, combined with the surely cut rate level of safety that will be required of a hastily thrown together plan, as well as the fact that there's no properly tested or designed equipment to try this new plan, or that there's all the junk and garbage BP threw down the pipe floating around that could clog up this equipment, there's a larger than usual risk of explosion, death, and the Gulf turning into a oil and dead animal soaked inferno.

Eh. Is that actually going to make this situation even marginally worse? No. Onward with the dangerous plan. I hope everything doesn't explode. Though, given the planet's luck throughout this whole incident I'm expecting that this will somehow set the atmosphere on fire or accelerate global warming to the point where the ice caps are melted fully by August.

Our Betters: Joe Cares About the Planet

INT. OVAL OFFICE

Rahm_Emanuel,_official_photo_portrait_color
Rahm Emanuel: Mr. President, after last week I really don't think we should put Joe in charge of anything too major. Or public. This is a big deal and it means a lot to many of your supporters and fellow lawmakers. There's no reason we can't go with a safer choice.

Official_portrait_of_Barack_Obama
President Barack Obama: Rahm, I understand your concerns and I sympathize with you, I really do. But he needs a bit of a morale boost and I think he’ll rise to the challenge. You know, this is going to sound absurd, but ever since he was President last week--

Emanuel: He wasn’t President.

Obama: Well, I’ve been noticing a lot of extra cheese in my meals. It’s been the best dining week of my life. I think I owe that to him. I think he’s earned this chance.

Emanuel: I think this is going to blow up in our gosh darn faces.

Obama: Keepin' that language in check. Good boy!

(tosses Rahm a treat)

Emanuel: (chewing) Thanks. All right, sir, where is the Vice-President?

Obama: I think Katie said the sound of hard ass slapping and jocular guffawing was heard near the West Wing.

(off key singing of “Mercy Mercy Me (The Ecology)”, drawing closer)

Obama: Here we are.

(door flies open)

Biden smilin
Vice-President Joe Biden: Fellas! How the hell are you?

(looks around)

Biden: What do you think, is all this shit in here compostable? Biodegradable? Carbon neutral?

(slaps Obama on the ass, then on the Blackberry holster)

Biden: How many amps is this bastard pumping out?

Obama: Joe, that’s not wise, I think you--

Biden: Just wanted to show you how seriously I’m taking this environmental thing now that you’ve put me in charge of the entire Earth Day.

Emanuel: The White House celebration of Earth Day.

Biden: Like I said, the entire Earth Day. Man, what an honor. I literally have one hell of a day planned.

Obama: We are certainly interested in hearing your proposal.

Rahm: (mumbling) Like I'm interested in a fucking catheter.

(Obama shoots Rahm and angry glance)

Biden: Aw hell, it’s fantastic. We start off with some tree-plantin’ ceremonies, kids of all ethnicities holding hands and shit. Then we move to Al Gore giving his giant presentation at the Mall, a green technology exhibition at the Smithsonian, and we finish it off with a nighttime concert by Skynyrd powered entirely by wind.

(a few seconds of deafening silence, which Biden doesn't seem to notice)

Obama: You know, that doesn’t sound half-bad.

Emanuel: Yeah… I’m almost kind of impressed. And suddenly terrified.

Biden: That’s not even the best part. I’m fixin’ to set up a bona fide coup de grace. Big talent. Sinatra big! Speaking of…. Flo!!! FLO!!!

(voice comes from outside Oval Office)

Katie_Johnson
Presidential Secretary Katie Johnson: *sighs* Yes, Mr. Vice-President?

Biden: Where is our guest of honor?

Johnson: He just arrived at the front door, he should be here any moment.

Biden: Aw hell. Guys, could you do me a favor? I really need to impress this guy and it won't help if I have you two standin’ behind me while I’m trying to finalize a deal on saving the planet. You guys mind clearing out?

Obama: This is my office, Joe, and we have a great deal of bus--

Biden: Phenomenal! Thanks for helping a guy out.

(Shoves Emanuel and Obama through the back entrance to the Oval Office)

Biden: Oh God, I hope this goes well. Oh God, oh God...

(door flies open)

James Cameron: Mr. Vice-President! I SEE YOU!

Biden: Jimmy! I can see you too. Eyes. Hell of a thing.

Cameron: No. ISEE... YOU.

Biden: Stellar. Come sit down, let’s talk. Jimbo, I saw Avatar with one of my grandkids. Loved it. Had a hell of a time. Cat monkeys. Tree cities. Sigourney Weaver. 3-D. Hell that damn red dragon thing scared me so bad my 5 year old granddaughter could barely get me to look back at the screen.

Cameron: I’m glad you enjoyed it my monumentally important film that was a game-changer in terms of the way movies are presented to an audience. That I made.

Biden: I wouldn’t know about that. Last film I saw in theatres was Bringing Up Baby. But my granddaughter, Janice is her name… wait… FLO!!!

Johnson: Yes.

Biden: Is Janice the one I saw the blue Pocahontas cat monkey movie with?

Johnson: I’m fairly sure you don’t have a granddaughter named Janice.

biden staring space
Biden: Then who the hell am I thinking of? I’m not thinking of that sexy musician muppet, am I?

Johnson: I wouldn’t even know where to begin…

(Biden turns back to Cameron)

Biden: Anyway, the brown-haired granddaughter told me that Avatar had a strong environmental message. So naturally, I think you’d be a perfect fit as the guest of honor for our Earth Day ceremonies.

Cameron: Yes, the environment is very important to me. That’s why I’m releasing Avatar on DVD and Blu-Ray this Earth Day. For me, the fight for the earth is a cause comparable to World War II. That’s why I used my movie that I made as a brilliantly subtle attack on militarism and anti-environmentalism. I can’t stand those who stand in the way of climate progress. I want to call those deniers out into the street at high noon and shoot it out with those boneheads. Anybody that is a global-warming denier at this point in time has got their head so deeply up their ass I’m not sure they could hear me.

Biden: Superb. I literally love that imagery. So it’s settled then: you’ll be the guest of honor, maybe we’ll do a special screening of Avatar, you can meet Janice, and I’ll get to ride one of those giant mechs with the huge Bowie knives.

Cameron: Agreed. Except about the mech part. Those were computer-generated mechs, Joe. I know I can make a convincing epic that blows your mind with how photo real and game changing it is that I made but those mechs weren’t real. Clearly.

Biden: Outta sight. I can’t wait to climb in one, maybe make Harry Reid shit himself again! But listen, this Earth Day thing isn’t the only reason I called you in. I may be the Veep, but that’s only a part time gig, Jim-Jam. I’m also a dynamic creative force, just like you.

(moves uncomfortably close to Cameron)

Biden: I got this idea for a movie. It’s the future and everyone is an orange dog person. Because of the environment. And there’s this guy and he’s the chosen guy. Huge deal. Up and comer. Real sad back story about losing family. Life spent on the Intergalactic Relations Committee. Then, just when he thinks he’s about to assume his rightful place as Space Leader of The Space Planet, a younger, darker orange dog guy cuts in front and relegates our hero to Vice-Space Leader. And they yell at him, send him on embarrassing diplomatic mission to Neo-Israel, talk about him behind his back, and are all like “Joe, stop abusing Harry Reid! Joe, Friday is not pants optional! Joe, stay out of the Presidential residence after midnight, you’re scaring the children!”

Cameron: What?

Biden: So you think you’ll make it? I figure I pick up a fee and some points on the back end. Some real Fuck You money, ya know? Who am I kidding, of course you know! You're Jimmy C!

Cameron: Listen, i don't care about money, I care about saving the world for my kids. That I made. How about that? Impressed? Of course you are.

Biden: I even have the hit theme figured out. Its a little scat-based number I came up with. Forget Celine Dion, I’ll power this baby to #1 myself.

biden croon
Biden: SKEE DOPPLE BE DOPPLE DEE DOPPLE DWEE!

2967117211_672c899c44
Biden: YEAAAAAAAAH! WOO WOO WOO WOO WOO!

3103702708_b3f2010bb7
Biden: OOOOOOO! SKEE WOOZLE BE DOOZLE BE DOPPLE DWEE DUM!

Biden Labor Day
Biden: OH! SKEE DOPPLE BE DOPPLLE DWEEEEEE!

biden disbelief
Biden: Croonin'! What do you think?

Cameron: The whole enterprise is a little hackneyed and unoriginal, even by my standards.

Biden: Look, you can either be a part of this Earth Day thing, give me a mech, and produce my movie or... maybe you’re the next US film ambassador to Kabul. You ever been to Kabul? Worse than Scranton.

Cameron: You know, now that I think about it, this just might work. And I know Michael Biehn is available…

Biden: Glad you see it my way.

This post was written by one of our unpaid interns

There is no secret that Sean and I love unpaid interns. They're what makes TB Industries go. They shovel coal into the blast furnaces during their 19 hour shifts, they mine coal for the blast furnace, they burn as an acceptable form of fuel failing a timely delivery of coal or mine cave-in, they are excellent cannon fodder for our top-secret assaults on small island nations we need to control before we can enact Plan Beta, they go good with a white wine vinaigrette and provide an excellent source of protein, they seem to fight the genetic abominations our science department cranks out with a certain pluckiness and aplomb when they're armored up and forced into the Hellpit, and, most importantly, they're easily replaceable, their bodies are easily dumpable, and their causes of death are easy to cover up.

But for most recent grads, becoming an unpaid intern isn't a choice one makes just to become part of the greater glory of These Bastards. No, for most it is an opportunity, any opportunity, to grab some form of job experience during the worst job market ever. For most companies they offer unpaid internships for one reason: slavery is a good business model. But now it seems that old man socialism and the feddy government want to stick their noses into this racket and make sure it conforms to "laws" and "accepted labor practices". Fascists.
Convinced that many unpaid internships violate minimum wage laws, officials in Oregon, California and other states have begun investigations and fined employers. Last year, M. Patricia Smith, then New York’s labor commissioner, ordered investigations into several firms’ internships. Now, as the federal Labor Department’s top law enforcement official, she and the wage and hour division are stepping up enforcement nationwide.
...
The Labor Department says it is cracking down on firms that fail to pay interns properly and expanding efforts to educate companies, colleges and students on the law regarding internships.
...
Ms. Leppink said many employers failed to pay even though their internships did not comply with the six federal legal criteria that must be satisfied for internships to be unpaid. Among those criteria are that the internship should be similar to the training given in a vocational school or academic institution, that the intern does not displace regular paid workers and that the employer “derives no immediate advantage” from the intern’s activities — in other words, it’s largely a benevolent contribution to the intern.
It goes without saying that the "six federal legal criteria", or "The Forbidden Restraints" as we call them here, are not allowed to be written or spoken of. Punishment for this industry killing knowledge is the filling in of the perpetrator's mouth with cement.

But our industry (blogging/the Onion wake swimming/megalomaniacal world domination/pointless furnace maintenance) is not like other industries. So for those recent graduates who do not wish to become part of the TB Killer Elite, this might be relevant information to have.

I mean sure the rise in de facto slavery and skirting labor, harassment, and discrimination laws through internships is a troubling response to a massive economic crisis, but how did you expect America to get back on top? By employing people, using sound business practices, and enacting laws, regulations, and programs that promote sensible growth and prevent this kind of thing from happening again? No, of course not. This is America after all.

So best of wishes to the new unpaid interns out there. Good news, in addition to the job experience you'll be able to put on a resume, this also qualifies as "Studying the labor and economic policies of Dubai". Congratulations, you just got a Social Sciences minor!

Chuck did it

Now that health reform is truly and finally over, no take backsies and no do overs, we're finally starting to see some of the GOP messaging form for their election campaign later in the year. Aside from all the veiled calls to violence and apocalyptic musings, the main message is centered around repeal.

To which the Democratic response has been "Sure! Which part do you want to argue for repealing in an election: the parts about preexisting coverage, the parts about covering children, the parts about discrimination, the parts that cut the deficit, or the parts that make health care cheaper?" The President almost peed himself laughing at the thought of it. Some of the more honest Republicans have admitted that repealing the bill is pretty much impossible as long as Obama is in the White House and that this is all effectively a big circle jerk in an echo chamber. Even the phony lawsuits, mostly filed by state AG's trying to run for higher office, are centered on the one same main theme: getting people riled up and angry without any real intent to do what you say you're going to do.

But former Gang of Six GOP negotiator and death panel aficionado Chuck Grassley is deciding to take another road.
In the memo send out to reporters by his staff on on the Senate Finance Commitee, Grassley claims that the bill will ensure that "Congress, the IRS, and the public will now
have additional tools and information to ensure that charitable hospitals act charitably."

There's a reason the bill is so good when it comes to hospitals, Grassley's staff writes -- bipartisanship.

"The health care legislation signed into law yesterday includes provisions Grassley co-authored to impose standards for the tax exemption of charitable hospitals for the first time," his Finance Committee press staff writes.
Yeah, he's praising the bill and trying to take credit for it. Uh-oh, looks like someone is going to be put in crosshairs on Sarah Palin's Facebook page. RELOAD!

You know I think this is going to go the way of the stimulus. Republicans decry the measure as not working and then go home to stand in front of big checks and tout jobs that they and they alone have brought to their district and state by means of the magical incantation of STIM-HYOO-LUSS and the waving of a wand. I guess Grassley thinks this think might be popular once the talk of killing granny and defiling her corpse out of the equation. We'd just like to congratulate Chuck on the new land speed record he set for backtracking. I hope he didn't get any severe whiplash or neck injuries from the sudden directional change. Ahh fuck it, he's got health care, it doesn't matter.

P.R.

Well, well, well, looks like the Taliban has fallen into our complex little trap. Oh sure, they might have been glad to lure us into a guerrilla insurgency battle in the mountainous Graveyard of Empires; a battlefield and tactic they are much more familiar and better at than we are. But now they've made the mistake of letting themselves be led into a battlefield of our own choosing; a battlefield where our prowess is unparalleled; the public relations battlefield.

Oh foolish Taliban. Now you're letting us fight a battle we can win. We can probably win. Probably definitely maybe win. Possibly. We at least have better odds than with the counterinsurgency thing.
The Taliban have embarked on a sophisticated information war, using modern media tools as well as some old-fashioned ones, to soften their image and win favor with local Afghans as they try to counter the Americans’ new campaign to win Afghan hearts and minds.

The Taliban’s spiritual leader, Mullah Muhammad Omar, issued a lengthy directive late last spring outlining a new code of conduct for the Taliban. The dictates include bans on suicide bombings against civilians, burning down schools, or cutting off ears, lips and tongues.
Cutting off of limbs, hands, feet and heads? Still on! ...until... they're cut off. See.. when they cut them off... no longer... on... *sighs* This is the problem with mutilation humor.

The Taliban is eager to win over hearts and minds seeing as they're responsible for 3/4th's of civilian deaths. You hear that, Robert Greenwald? We're only responsible for 1/4th! That practically makes this whole thing justified!

So sorry for you, Taliban. After almost a decade of fighting we finally lured you into a fight we could win. Sure, it was an overly complex, ill-defined, and labyrinthine plot that involved an actual war, but we finally did it. We were personally hoping we'd be able to lure you into a pop singing competition or perhaps a baseball game, but we'll take P.R. Hell, we can kiss babies, stage photo-ops, press the flesh, and schmooze better than any nation on earth. Our army of public relations reps and spokesmen will blot out the sun. I can't believe you fell for it.

Broken News: Minutes from top secret Congressional/White House health care negotiations

Unbeknownst to many, in advance of his health care speech, President Obama gathered together various leaders from the House and Senate in a last ditch effort to hammer out some sort of consensus on health care. What follows are minutes from the top secret meeting, presented here unedited.

While no Bothans died to bring us this information, one Senate staffer was beaten with a sack of frozen oranges and, in a related event, three lobbyists had their mouths filled with quick-dry cement.

3:59PM—Members of the various leadership groups and key health care players from the Republican and Democratic parties file in.

4:02PM—Grumbling immediately begins as the Republican group, led by House Minority Leader John Boehner, professes unhappiness with what they see as a comfort disparity between the chairs provided to each political party. Despite assurances that all chairs are the same make and model, Boehner threatens a walkout. A premature and calamitous end to the meeting is averted when Democrats agree to a compromise: Montana Senator Jon Tester will be forced to stand for the duration of the negotiations and NY Representative Charlie Rangel will sit on the lap of Vice-President Joe Biden.

4:27PM—Amid cries from several members of both parties that they had not eaten in “1-2 hours, tops” and that they were “fuckin’ starvin’ over here”, the group starts begins what is expected to be the most taught and fractious negotiations of the night: what to order for dinner. Working under guidelines from the President mandating, “There is no way I am ordering from four different goddamn places,” negotiations begin.

4:31PM—After a heated declaration from Arizona Senator John McCain that under no circumstances will he ever eat Asian food again, honoring a vow he made while imprisoned in Vietnam, the Chinese menu is quietly removed from the table.

4:55PM—A surprisingly quick accord is reached as Virginia Representative Eric Cantor and Virginia Senator Jim Webb both note that nearby Shakey’s Pizza not only features a wide array of Italian foods, but also includes Mexican items, as well as varied sandwiches, burgers, appetizers, and hot wings with 12 varieties of sauce. Orders are placed and, in a landmark sign of bipartisanship, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell agree to split an order of Shakey’s famous Gravy Cheese JalapeƱo Explosion Fries.

5:30PM—The food arrives and is paid for in a private ceremony involving White House photographers, an elaborate Roman-columned stage, and several different ceremonial pens for the official “Signing of the White House Petty Cash Reimbursement Slip.” During the ceremony McCain thanks his colleagues for not making him eat the food “of the people that kind of look like the people I despise so much.”

5:44PM—Pelosi and McConnell share their fries to the applause of onlookers. Tester complains that his feet hurt and that he didn’t get the extra capicola he ordered on his Italian sub. During a break in the conversation Oregon Senator Ron Wyden openly asks if they could “stop dicking around and get to work on health care." After a round of jeers, the room breaks out in laughter as Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa and Georgia Rep. Jack Kingston simultaneously call Wyden a “homo.”

6:11PM—The Rangel-muffled voice of Joe Biden echoes out as he states that everyone seems to be finished eating and that they better let Wyden speak before he, "Gets all weepy and shit again, like a little bitch.”

6:28PM—Wyden completes his run-through of his Healthy Americans Act, a health care bill that, if passed, would actually reform the health care system while drastically expanding coverage. He notes that the Congressional Budget Office has run projections showing the bill would be revenue-neutral two years after implementation and begin reducing health care costs thereafter.

6:33PM—Laughter subsides as a weeping Wyden runs from the room. Someone sarcastically yells out “single payer” and a small riot ensues. Mississippi Rep. Roy Blunt calls a staffer and asks him to bring over new pants after he wets himself when Harry Reid sarcastically suggests, “Medicare for all.”

7:39PM—After different members take to reading out other serious health care reform plans in lilting, girly voices, an angry Max Baucus taps his watch impatiently and notes that, “It’s almost time for So You Think You Can Dance” and "It'll be a cold day in hell before I miss my show."

7:40PM—An exhausted Jon Tester passes out onto the floor. No one seems to notice.

7:44PM—The assembled agree to follow Senate Plan 3B on negotiations. According to Robert’s Rules of Order, this requires them to, “verily fuck around for a fortnight before ultimately passing legislation that helps few, annoys all, and tosses large burlap sacks of gold Hessian bullion at the reigning industrial elite.”

7:45PM—The meeting ends as a frantic Max Baucus runs from the room screeching about how he should have bought a Tivo.

8:12PM—Sen. McCain wakes up in a cold sweat, screaming "Sarah who?"

Shocking revelations of an unfathomably surprising nature

Cheney Says He Was Proponent for Military Action Against Iran
Former Vice President Dick Cheney hinted that, in the waning days of the Bush administration, he had pushed for a military strike to destroy Iran's nuclear-weapons program.

In an interview on Fox News Sunday, Mr. Cheney described himself as being isolated among advisers to then-President George W. Bush, who ultimately decided against direct military action.

"I was probably a bigger advocate of military action than any of my colleagues," Mr. Cheney said in response to questions about whether the Bush administration should have launched a pre-emptive attack prior to handing over the White House to Barack Obama.
Wouldn't that have just been the perfect ending to the Bush Administration? "Here black dude, we just bombed the everliving shit out of Iran because Dick really, really wanted to. I think that makes it three wars in the Middle East we're leaving you with. Oh, and the crippling economic collapse. Ah well, good luck. I'll be in Dallas if you need me!" Those must have been a hellish last couple of weeks for various Bush Administration officials. You're trying to find a new job after this current one has tainted your reputation and every few days you have to run over to the White House to form the opposition to some half baked military invasion that Dick Cheney wants to enact, whether it's Iran again or he wants to carpet bomb Central America because he thinks the guy that fucked up his lunch order was vaguely Panamanian.

This was all part of the Dick's wide-ranging, some would say tragically sycophantic, interview with Chris Wallace. In the interview they covered such subjects as why Cheney is not only cool with torture, he's cool with interrogators going above and beyond the specific torture methods they approved, as well as his consternation about how politicized the Justice Department is now, and a few overt dares to investigate his various crimes. He even caused John McCain to stand up and take notice, deriding the effectiveness of torture and the vapidness of Cheney's arguments, though with the caveat that despite the illegality and Geneva Conventions violating nature of the crimes that the best way to move forward and make sure it never happened again was to not investigate one single thing about it.

God love Dick Cheney's media tours, he's such a font of rage inducing hypocrisy. Did I mention he's writing a book? I can't wait for that thing to come out, I think it might cause Keith Olbermann and Bill Maher's heads to explode at the same time.

Damn you, The West

It's not a good day to be a meddling power with megalomaniacal desires and Bond villan type machinations on the Middle East. Our fiendish Western plots are being figured out left and right. First was today's plane crash in Iran, which killed 168. I'm sure in the coming days we'll find that not only was this orchestrated by Barack Hussein Obama, whilst sitting in his ovaled office stroking a white cat, but that it was done in conjunction with Hossein Mousavi in an attempt to de-legitimize the rightfully "elected" "government" of Iran. Then there's Israel, which has taken a new, heinous step in its war against the Palestinians: boner gum.
Hamas suspects that Israeli intelligence services are supplying its Gaza Strip stronghold with chewing gum that boosts the sex drive in order to "corrupt the young," an official has said.
...
The story came to light after a Palestinian man filed a complaint that his daughter had experienced "dubious side effects" after chewing the offending gum, Israeli media reported.

The Israeli military declined to comment officially on the allegations, which one military source termed "absurd."
Oh you would deny this, Israel! But your secret Spanish Fly Bubblelicious and Rhino Horn Fruit Stripe gum has been discovered! Hamas was too polite to overtly say what these "dubious side effects" were, but we know: exposed wrists and ankles, signifying the extreme excesses of Western harlotry and whoreishness. We know what's next: the dancing to the rock'n'roll music. They're on to you, The West. No more plane crashes, no more BBC led revolutions, and cease with the boner gum and any other arousing chocolates or lascivious sodas you try to unleash on unsuspecting populaces. This will not stand.

What did we tell you? WHAT DID WE TELL YOU?

Super secret Muslim agent:
President Barack Obama called Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas today and promised to work toward a "durable peace" in the reigon, Abbas' spokesman says. "This is my first phone call to a foreign leader and I'm making it only hours after I took office," the spokesman quoted Obama as telling Abbas.
Soon he will melt down your guns and use the metal to construct Madrassas, Chomsky will become required reading for all primary school students and the mandatory government abortion lines will begin forming. Do you even know what you've unleashed, America?

McCain will get bin Laden.....if you elect him

Sort of a weird comment that McCain likes to continually make. Not only will he get bin Laden, catching the rascal before he unleashes his new monkeyshines, but he already knows how to get him. Uh John, don't you think that would be an important thing to tell our armed forces and law enforcement agencies? You know, so they can catch him before he plans another attack. No? You'll only release the secret plan after you get elected? That's mature.

At least tell Bush. Sure his resulting actions might end up getting bin Laden crowned Imperial Sultan of the United Middle Eastern Caliphate, but Bushie should get a chance to at least ignore your secret advice like he ignored so many other warnings about bin Laden. Will you at least pledge to tell Obama about you secret strategy if he wins? No? At least write it down and put it in a safety deposit box, to be opened upon your untimely death next year. No? I would have thought someone who puts country first would consider the security of his country a little more than "elect me or bin Laden walks" pledges. Just kidding, I know you have no idea what to do and are trying to concoct any scenario in which you can emotionally blackmail the electorate into voting for you. Secret bin Laden pledges aren't it.

Secret economic recovery plans on the other hand......
