Picture of the day

The handy work of a group of Wisconsin area businessmen. Sure, it might say "Impeach Obama", but they don't want you to get any crazy ideas about it. Like you thinking they want to impeach Obama.
“The company (that paid for the billboard) is supported by a number of area businessmen who are concerned about tax and spend politics. The billboard is not meant to allege any impeachable offense has been committed; It is simply an expression of frustration by my client that politics in Washington should change to better support small businesses,” Wroblewski said in a written statement.
They don't want to allege impeachable offenses, they just want him impeached. Somewhere Bill Clinton is eating a double bacon cheeseburger, nodding, and muttering "I've heard that before."

Still, the economy, socialism's effect on small business, and "tax and spend politics" can't be that bad if you can afford to run an "Impeach Obama" billboard for six months. C'mon, we all know what you really want to say. So just pony up the cash for the billboard that says "Our President is a blaaaaaaaaaaaaaack and we're afraid!!" and we'll let it slide. We'll be cool with it. It's much preferable to the multitude of rings and conspiracy theories we have to wade through to come to the same conclusion.

Maybe you should just give him a chance. Maybe he'll invent the candygram, pal around with Gene Wilder, and win you over with his comic antics as sheriff of this country. Otherwise, save your money. You'll need it when Obama swings around to finish off the rest of the small businesses he didn't get in the first go around.

Really, already? People at least waited until he started an illegal war based on lies, sprinkled with a dash of gross Constitutional violations before they hopped on the "Impeach Bush" train. Obama gets tossed for "wasteful Washington spending"? Ah well, it was a good run.

Oh, bonus classy points for the Osama reference. Whatever happened to that guy anyway?

Oh yeah....

...THIS HAPPENED.

59-0 Rod. Scoreboard. Maybe you should have gone on the View one more time, made sure Diane Sawyer got all the interview time she needed on Good Morning America.

All is not lost for Rod, he's still got that book deal and first prison interview to negotiate. Also, before he got impeached he was able to scam one last free plane ride out of the state, pardoned a real estate crook, and used his press conference to creepily invite a kid back to his house to play basketball. Let's humor the little vegan man

House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers Jr., D-Mich, says the committee might let Dennis Kucinich present his case for impeachment against President Bush before the August recess. One can only assume that Conyers needs just a little more time to coach the committee on not snickering in front of Kucinich as the Ohio Congressman makes the outlandish accusation that the President exaggerated the imminent threat posed by the Hussein regime in order to pressure Congress into authorizing military action.

While the Kucinich site is trumpeting this as a major step forward in the effort to hold the Executive Branch responsible for a list of crimes longer than Elizabeth's legs, Conyers quickly clarified the Judiciary Committee's intentions: "We’re not doing impeachment, but he can talk about it."

This really shouldn't come as any surprise, given the committee's reaction to three previous Kucinich petitions (House Resolutions 333, 799 and 1258), which were met with eye rolls before promptly being used to line James Sensenbrenner's parakeet cage.

If only instead of going to war under false pretenses, illegally spying on American citizens, ignoring the Geneva Convention, and watching a major southern city sink into the ground, Bush had shown his penis to a White House clerk...
