The Royal Observatory has announced its winners for Astronomy Photographer of the Year. The rules? You had to be a person taking the photos from the ground, not an uppity orbiting telescope who thinks the sun shines out your ass. Winners get to meet the Queen, be taught the secret Royal Astronomers handshake by Prince Philip, and take home a completmentary loaf of banana bread baked by Liz herself. Congratulations to all and enjoy that bread.
